I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Sheffield, UK with the department of Urban Studies & Planning, and an affiliate scholar with the Issam Fares Institute at the American University of Beirut.
I examine urban refugee women and their experience and negotiation of public space, alongside their access and interaction with security and judiciary in their host cities. I am currently interviewing Syrian refugee women living in Beirut.
This blog includes reflections from my research alongside narratives from people I interview. If you’re new to the blog and love a bit of context, then my About page and my first blog post are probably a good place to start.
